Lincoln Trail Behavioral Health System is a 140‑bed hospital offering inpatient services for adolescents, adults, military/veterans and their families. The facility features a spacious cafeteria, gymnasium, art/activity room, group rooms, classrooms, and other areas designed to create a pleasant environment for patients and their families. Services are provided by psychiatrists, addictionologists, licensed therapists, certified alcohol and drug counselors, activity therapists, teachers, and registered nurses 24 hours a day.
The system has been a trusted psychiatric care provider since 1986.
- Conduct utilization reviews of inpatient and outpatient mental health and substance abuse services.
- Determine medical necessity, appropriateness of care, and correct utilization within established guidelines.
- Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and case managers to ensure high quality, cost‑effective care.
- Maintain accurate review documentation and report findings to management.
- Identify and recommend process improvements for utilization management practices.
- Serve as a point of contact for regulatory and payer inquiries related to utilization reviews.

- Current license to practice nursing in Kentucky (RN or LPN) OR Bachelor’s degree in Social Work or Psychology.
- Experience in utilization management preferred.
- Current CPR or BLS certification (or obtain within 30 days of hire).
- Strong ability to work independently and collegially with all clinical disciplines.
