Job Description

The Provisional to Professional Pathway Coordinator leads the recruitment, admissions, and implementation of Radford University’s online, self-paced, competency-based courses in the Provisional to Professional Pathway, which serves provisionally licensed teachers across Virginia. This role requires both external outreach and internal coordination to ensure that prospective students are effectively recruited, admitted, and supported throughout their pathway to full licensure.

The coordinator will work closely with faculty members in the School of Teacher Education and Leadership, instructional designers, and colleagues in Graduate Affairs, Enrollment Management and Strategic Communications, Alumni Relations, and leadership within the College of Education and Human Development. The position combines program growth, student support, admissions advising, and instructional oversight.

Required Qualifications
  • Advanced degree or equivalent education, training, and experience in education or a related field.
  • Experience coordinating programs/projects with measurable outcomes.
  • Demonstrated success in marketing, recruiting, or admissions.
  • Strong ability to manage multiple tasks independently.
  • Skilled in planning and delivering professional development sessions.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, organizational, customer service, and time management skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and familiarity with learning management systems.
  • Ability to collect, analyze, and report data.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Knowledge of Virginia teacher licensure regulations.
  • Familiarity with Virginia school divisions and their structures.
  • Experience designing, teaching, or supporting online instruction.
  • Experience teaching in online environments.
  • Familiarity with D2L/Brightspace.
  • Experience with Banner, Slate, or similar student information and admissions systems.
