Job Description

The Business Technology Analyst, Finance, provides strategic leadership and technical expertise for financial systems, including Ellucian Banner Finance and related platforms. The position drives automation, digitization, and ERP optimization across Finance operations including Accounts Payable, Payroll, Accounting Services, Procurement, University Services, General Accounting, Financial Reporting, Bursar, Risk Management, and Compliance, reducing reliance on external support and improving efficiency. It collaborates with IT, vendors, and Finance leadership to support enterprise projects, reporting, and compliance.

Up to 100% remote with some required in-person meetings, trainings, etc.

Required Qualifications
  • Master’s degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Business, Finance, or a related field; or a Bachelor’s degree in one of these fields with equivalent professional experience.
  • 3–5 years of experience with Ellucian Banner Finance or comparable ERP.
  • Demonstrated experience with financial systems automation and process improvement.
  • Proficiency with SQL, data visualization, and reporting tools (Power BI, Tableau, Cognos).
  • Strong project management, collaboration, and communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications
  • 5+ years of progressive experience in Finance ERP systems administration.
  • Knowledge of accounts payable, general accounting, bursar, and payroll processes.
  • Experience implementing new financial systems and integrations (e.g., Kuali).
  • Experience leading financial system digitization and automation initiatives.
