Senior Cloud Engineer

Tech is looking for a Cloud Engineer to support the ALTESS commercial cloud services infrastructure. ALTESS is a managed service provider for Army and DoD IT systems and plans to offer managed cloud services in public clouds (Azure, AWS) and Private Clouds.

• Support the ALTESS cloud services infrastructure as part of Sev1
  
  Tech’s cloud engineering team.
• Lead or contribute to migrating on-premises applications to the cloud.

• Active DoD Secret Security Clearance
• CompTIA Security+ (or equivalent IA cert) and computing environment certification (e.g., MCSD Azure Solutions Architect, AWS Certified Solutions Architect, etc.)
• Experience in Computer Science or IT
• Mid to senior level Cloud Engineer experience that includes:
  • Strong experience with IPSEC/VPN and other secure transport technologies as well as Border Gateway Protocol
  • Proven experience migrating on-premises applications to the cloud
  • Understanding of network, storage, server, and application technologies
  • Strong knowledge of automation concepts, tools, and scripting languages (Ansible, Terraform, Python, Power Shell, Bash, Puppet, Chef, etc.)
  • Working knowledge of code repositories tools such as Git
  • Working knowledge of DoD STIGs and IA Vulnerability Management (IAVM)
  • CI/CD pipeline experience such as Jenkins, Travis CI, AWS Code Deploy
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Experience effectively managing multiple large-scale projects

• Senior IT experience in networking or equivalent experience
• Experience automating routine administrative tasks
