Middleware Team Lead (Web Software Developer – Senior)

CGI Federal seeks a Middleware Team Lead to support the Army’s PL ALTESS contract. The role leads the design, deployment, and maintenance of middleware solutions that support Army applications, ensuring high availability, performance, and security in Linux, Unix, and Windows environments.
Responsibilities- Administer and manage mid‑tier middleware for customer applications, including architecture, installation, configuration, and maintenance across multiple operating systems.
- Lead infrastructure provisioning, system monitoring, and administrative dashboards to maintain service levels.
- Develop and enforce security standards, ensuring compliance with Army and Cyber Command STIGs, SRR, and POA&M documentation.
- Collaborate with deployment teams to schedule new installations, provide support, and handle change management.
- Work with developers to debug applications and provide best‑practice guidance for Java, C#, Python, and Power Shell.
- Computer Science or IT degree or equivalent experience.
- Three+ years of experience with application server architecture in a large enterprise environment.
- Proficiency with IIS, Apache Tomcat, Java, Web Logic, Web Sphere, SOAP, REST, XML.
- Knowledge of XML, XSLT, DTD, Xalan, Xerces, and related technologies.
- Experience with Oracle and/or SQL Server databases.
- Strong Unix and Windows administration skills;
Python and Power Shell knowledge a plus. - Active DoD Secret clearance required.
- Professional customer relations and clear communication skills.
- Working knowledge of DoD STIGs, IAVM.
- Experience with security readiness reviews.
