Motor Assembler III – Regulate the production line by assembling, inspecting, and troubleshooting electric motors. You will support continuous improvement, maintain high quality, and lead cell operations.
SummaryThe Motor Technician has a solid understanding of current and historical product lines. In this role you will perform main tasks with minimal assistance, arranging and executing electrical, mechanical, and preventive maintenance of equipment.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities- Repair and maintenance: tear down, diagnose and repair equipment failures; adjust, repair or replace electrical or electronic components; conduct root‑cause/corrective action analyses.
- Quality checks and data collection during maintenance.
- Assemble motors and prototypes: fabricate objects by reading schematics, blueprints, and work orders; maintain new or innovative systems.
- Training & cell leadership: acquire and demonstrate full cell operation; provide first‑level support for ME/QE/PLC issues; implement standard work; create, execute, and monitor training plans for new hires; deliver on‑the‑job training; manage skills‑based training rosters.
- Working relationships: coordinate with cell associates, supervisors, engineers, and materials specialists to plan or review work activities, resolve production problems, and support the cell team.
- Minimum two years’ experience in a related field.
- Solid knowledge of customer service principles, quality standards, and customer satisfaction evaluation.
- Administrative and clerical skills: word processing, file and record management.
- Strong written and verbal communication and basic arithmetic.
- Judgment to plan, perform, and sequence setups, operations, and processes using recognized methods.
- Self‑motivation, attention to detail, and ability to work independently.
- Monitoring and assessing performance, making improvements, and conducting tests and inspections.
- Strong mechanical background for troubleshooting systems and machinery.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
- High School Diploma or GED.
