The job of the Production Glassware Technician is to ensure that all glassware is cleaned as needed for the production lab. The Production Glassware Technician will be expected to adhere to standard operating procedures and other regulatory documents. The Production Glassware Technician will ensure there is enough back stocked glassware to complete a busy workday. The Production Glassware Technician reports to the Production Lab Supervisor.

• Wash dishes in the Glassware washer
• Hand wash all glassware that cannot be cleaned using the dishwasher
• Ensure there is enough glassware maintained to complete a busy workday
• Prioritize glassware cleaning duties to meet current needs
• Place clean glassware in the appropriate location
• Prepare items to be sterilized in the autoclave
• Operate the Autoclave
• Ensure the proper documentation for autoclave and Glassware washer monitoring and cleaning procedures
• Ensure that expired autoclaved items are removed from the production area
• Restock and maintain cleaning supplies in necessary areas
• Perform serum Heat Inactivation.
• Prepare and distribute the cleaning solutions following the “disinfectant of the month” schedule and ensure that they have not expired.
• Assist in other Production areas as needed

• High School Diploma or equivalent

Tech Lab® maintains a climate controlled environment for the job of Production Glassware Technician. An employee in this position must be able to lift upwards of 40lbs. This position can be either full time of part time. A typical workday for the full time position is Monday through Friday 8:00 to 4:30 or 8:30 to 5:00. Overtime is occasionally necessary with or without advance notice.
