Trades Technician III - Department:
Dining‑Maintenance & Operations
- Performs various maintenance, repair, and installation services as directed within Facilities Management, mainly in residential and dining facilities.
- Services encompass all trades: electrical, HVAC, plumbing, carpentry, painting, flooring, roofing, moving, etc.
- Assists with property inspections and report compilation.
- High school education and specialized training with significant related experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience indicating proficiency in the preceding knowledge and abilities.
- Experience in general maintenance: painting, wall repair, carpentry, flooring, tile, trim, etc.
- General knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, and electrical.
- Ability to read and understand all safety policies and procedures and follow equipment and system manuals.
- Ability to provide excellent customer service to students, faculty, and staff.
- Experience working in a commercial or residential environment in areas including painting, wall repair, carpentry, flooring, tile, trim, etc.
- Maintenance experience in a residential, university or multi-residential community setting.
- Experience working in a Dining or food service facilities environment.
- Extensive experience in the fields of Plumbing, Electrical, or HVAC.
- Journeyman level license in Plumbing, Electrical, or HVAC.
