The City of Rahway, Parking Utility is recruiting a part-time Parking Attendant. Duties include a variety of routine, repetitive, noncomplex tasks which involve monitoring, directing and assisting patrons entering and exiting the garage per established procedures; monitoring all parking properties including the garage; reporting any problems or incidents; light cleaning; snow removal; and other job duties outlined in and not limited to the Civil Service Commission title Parking Attendant (info.csc.nj.gov/jobspec/02614.htm

). Applicants must also maintain and uphold all policies and procedures; represent the City in a professional and courteous manner; maintain a neat and clean appearance; and remain in uniform during scheduled shifts. Job qualifications are ability to read and write English, follow direction - both oral and written, have no convictions of any offense which would make candidate unfit to perform such duties, a valid NJ driver's license;

ability to work a flexible schedule (including weekends, nights and holidays); ability to lift heavy objects, learn and implement new technology/equipment and work in varying weather conditions.
