Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey, Ernest Mario School of Pharmacy offers Post-Doctoral Pharm.

D. Fellowships with over 40 years of expertise in the pharmaceutical and biopharmaceutical industry. This 2-year Fellowship is a joint effort between the Rutgers Institute for Pharmaceutical Industry Fellowships (RPIF) and Merck. Program emphasis is in Oncology, General and Specialty Medicine, and Infectious Disease and Vaccines. The Fellowship provides an opportunity to be involved in running a clinical trial, including study start up, patient enrollment monitoring/tracking, protocol authoring, medical monitoring of participants, and leading clinical trial team meetings.

The Fellow will gain the skills to work on medications and vaccines in Merck’s pipeline and learn the crucial skills needed to work on clinical trials with study sites across the globe.

University-based experiences complement the industry experiences and include a Professional Development Series; opportunities for collaborative research, publication, and teaching; and participating/leading Rutgers Fellowship committees. These Fellowships provide a broad professional development opportunity in both corporate and academic environments to promote the role of Pharm.

Initial offers will not be made until December 12, the AIFA (Alliance of Industry Fellowship Associates) consensus date for first offers. Once all interviews are completed, RPIF or the company will notify interviewed candidates of their position-specific candidacy status.
