Translator (Haitian Creole) – Part time

We are hiring a Translator (Haitian Creole) for one of our clients in the Rahway, NJ correctional facility setting. The role involves providing translation services between professional staff and incarcerated individuals, supporting social work, education, and assessment programs.

• Translate on behalf of a Social Worker facilitating psycho educational programs, converting responses or questions from Haitian Creole-speaking incarcerated individuals.
• Translate on behalf of a Teacher facilitating educational classes, ensuring Haitian Creole-speaking individuals comprehend the topics discussed during class.
• Translate for professional staff during individual meetings to gather biopsychosocial information for formal assessments and general questions.

• Fluency in Haitian Creole and English.
• Experience in translation services for correctional or educational contexts.

• 8:00 AM – 3:00 PM, 1–2 days per week.
• Unpaid lunch break of 1 hour.
