Medix is partnered with a company that is a global leader in precision grinding and processing of specialty medical wire and tubing. Serving top medical device OEMs and contract manufacturers, this organization supports high-growth areas such as neurovascular, structural heart, and catheter-based applications. With over 1 billion parts delivered worldwide, their capabilities include advanced grinding, wire forming, hypotube processing, CNC machining, and automated inspection solutions.
CompensationBase pay range: $80,000.00/yr - $95,000.00/yr
Salary Range: $80,000 – $95,000 + 2% annual bonus (potential to grow to 5%)
ScheduleSchedule: Monday – Friday, 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM (some flexibility required)
Responsibilities- Review and interpret product functional and design specifications.
- Develop and implement inspection methods for new products and modify inspection processes based on nonconformances or customer complaints.
- Conduct quality assurance testing, statistical analysis, and defect analysis to ensure product accuracy and reliability.
- Perform root cause analysis using tools such as Minitab.
- Utilize quality tools including Gage R&R, SPC, and RCA to resolve issues and improve processes.
- Create and program automated measurement systems and support dimensional inspection initiatives.
- Support the maintenance and improvement of the Quality Management System (IQMS ERP).
- Prepare and maintain quality documentation, reports, and control systems.
- Address and resolve customer complaints, including returned material analysis and corrective action planning.
- Lead or support internal audits and regulatory compliance efforts.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to prioritize and manage multiple projects within budget and specifications.
- Stay informed of developments in quality assurance standards, methods, and regulations.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or related field.
- 2–4 years of quality engineering experience.
- Strong knowledge of Gage R&R, Root Cause Analysis, and Statistical Process Control (SPC).
- Experience developing and implementing test and inspection methods.
- Excellent communication (written and verbal) and interpersonal skills.
- Strong organizational, problem-solving, and analytical skills with acute attention to detail.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and workflow in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience with IQMS ERP or other QMS software preferred.
- Auditing experience is a plus.
- Background in medical device manufacturing strongly preferred; pharmaceutical or regulated industries also considered.
- Experience with measurement, dimensional inspection, or automated equipment programming is highly desirable.
