Principal Scientist leading Separation Sciences within Analytical Enabling Capabilities in Rahway, NJ, supporting drug development across modalities including small molecules, biologics, peptides, and ADCs.
Responsibilities:- provide scientific leadership in chromatography and purification workflows (HPLC, SFC, LCMS)
- support structure-activity and impurity studies
- develop innovative technologies and workflows
- mentor staff
- collaborate cross-functionally with process chemistry, analytical sciences, automation, informatics, and external vendors
- Ph.D. in Chemistry, Analytical Chemistry, Pharmaceutical Sciences, or Chemical Engineering with 8+ years of industry experience supporting pharmaceutical R&D
- expertise in chromatography, purification, and analytical separation techniques
- experience with multiple modalities, scale-up, and cGMP is preferred
- deep technical expertise in HPLC/SFC
- support for diverse modalities (small molecules, peptides, ADCs)
- hands-on experience from microgram to kilogram scale
- implementation of digital and automation solutions
- external scientific engagement
on-site in Rahway with 10% travel.
