• The mission of the group is to invent, develop, and implement biomolecules and biocatalytic processes to advance Merck's pipeline and our impact on the scientific community.
• Responsible for lysing
  
  E. coli cell pellets to liberate enzyme in solution or generate enzyme from in vitro transcription (ivTT) mix, setting up reactions using this solution as a catalyst, quenching reactions and preparing them for HPLC analysis, running the HPLC, and analyzing the data generated in support of our protein‑directed evolution workflow.
• Perform high‑throughput workflows with 96‑ or 384‑well formats using various automation instruments.
• Hands‑on, extensive experience with instrumentation essential for monitoring substrates and products profiles for reactions, especially Agilent UPLC systems.
• Work with a diverse group of team members to effectively coordinate efforts and operate multiple projects.
• Ensure activities and assignments are executed such that project deliverables and timelines are met.
