Advanced Clinical Nurse at UNC REX

As a Clinical Nurse III in the specialized Cardiovascular Surgical Intensive Care Unit, you will deliver expert care to complex patients recovering from critical surgeries. You’ll work with a collaborative interdisciplinary team while developing advanced nursing skills and contributing to clinical excellence daily.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide comprehensive critical care for cardiovascular surgery patients

• Monitor advanced support therapies and ECMO interventions

• Assess and respond to patient condition changes rapidly

• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams for optimal outcomes

• Mentor new nurses and participate in team education initiatives

Requirements:

• One year of nursing experience required

• Valid North Carolina RN license and BLS certification

• Enrollment in a nursing program required within four years
