Staff Accountant

Our client is looking to add a Staff Accountant to their growing team. The Staff Accountant reports to the VP of Finance and supports the day-to-day accounting operations of the organization. This role is responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, preparing journal entries, assisting with month-end close, and performing account reconciliations. The Staff Accountant collaborates with internal teams to ensure compliance with accounting policies and supports audits and financial reporting as needed.

• Prepare and post journal entries and maintain general ledger accuracy
• Perform monthly account reconciliations and assist with month-end close
• Support accounts payable, accounts receivable, and cash management processes
• Assist with internal and external audit requests
• Ensure compliance with GAAP and internal controls
• Support ad hoc accounting and finance projects as assigned

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
• 1-3 years of accounting or related experience
• Working knowledge of GAAP and general ledger accounting
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software/ERP systems
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• Ability to meet deadlines and work collaboratively in a team environment
