Staff Accountant

Overview

This position is located at our corporate office in Raleigh, NC. We are seeking an experienced, detail-oriented staff accountant with the ability to thrive in our fast paced, growing organization. This individual must be able to identify and resolve problems both independently and as a part of a team. Effective verbal and written communication skills, excellent interpersonal skills across all levels of the organization along with strong organizational and time management ability are also required.

• Identify and resolve problems independently and as part of a team.
• Collaborate with team members and cross-functional partners to support accounting processes.
• Maintain accurate and timely financial records and ensure compliance with GAAP and internal controls where applicable.

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or relevant prior experience; CPA preferred.
• Minimum of 1 year of relevant accounting experience.
• Thorough understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
• Self-starter who can work independently and as part of a team with minimal supervision.
• Intermediate to advanced experience with Microsoft Excel; JD Edwards skills desirable.
• Detail-oriented with effective verbal and written communication skills.
• Excellent interpersonal skills across all levels of the organization.
• Strong organizational and time management ability.
• Demonstrated ability to roll up sleeves and work with team members in a hands-on capacity.
• Manufacturing or construction and inventory accounting experience a plus.
