Responsibilities
  • Prepare and own monthly reconciliations for assigned balance sheet accounts, including bank reconciliations and other general ledger accounts
  • Perform general ledger reviews, including expense testing over established thresholds, to confirm transactions are coded accurately and supported appropriately
  • Ensure a timely and accurate month-end and year-end close process, including preparation of journal entries and account reconciliations
  • Ensure compliance with US GAAP and other regulatory requirements
  • Contribute to ad hoc projects and system implementations, including expense platform and ERP-related initiatives
  • Identify and implement process improvements — documenting procedures, reducing manual steps, and improving reconciliation quality
  • Collaborate across teams to ensure timely and accurate reporting of financial results
  • Prepare and review internal financial reports
  • Review work and that of others for accuracy and relevance
  • Provide guidance and support to team members and seamlessly share responsibilities with teammates
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or other relevant major

  • Track record of improving a process, not just executing one; able to describe a specific improvement they identified and implemented
  • Ability to think through a process end to end, test assumptions, and vet the result before relying on it
  • Willingness to go the extra effort when deadlines or unexpected issues require it
  • Previous experience in a multi-entity environment is preferred
  • Intermediate level proficiency in Excel
  • Proactive and professional approach to responsibilities with an eye toward continual improvement of business processes
  • Proven history of effective communication and establishing relationships with internal and external clients
