Staff Accountant

We are looking for a Staff Accountant to join a detail-oriented team in Raleigh, North Carolina on a Long-term Contract basis. This opportunity is well suited for someone who wants to build accounting experience in an audit-focused environment while contributing to essential financial work. Responsibilities:
• Prepare and record journal entries accurately to support daily and month-end accounting activities.
• Maintain general ledger records and review account activity to help ensure complete and reliable financial reporting.
• Support audit-related assignments by organizing financial documentation, reviewing data, and assisting with analysis requests.
• Contribute to corporate tax and sales tax processes, including gathering information and helping prepare supporting schedules.
• Assist with the preparation of corporate tax return documentation and related accounting records as needed.
• Work with electronic files and spreadsheets to compile, track, and reconcile financial information efficiently.
• Partner with team members on assigned accounting projects while following established procedures and deadlines.
• Perform detailed reviews of financial data to identify discrepancies and maintain a high level of accuracy in all work.
• Help support specialized reporting needs, including exposure to hospital cost reporting when applicable.
