Job Overview

BDS Dealer Pros began in 1996 as a one‑man operation, specializing in automotive cloth, vinyl, and leather repairs. Since then, we have grown to the largest automotive detail and reconditioning company in central NC, serving high‑volume franchise dealerships such as Leith Inc, Valley Auto World, and Bryan Honda.

Part‑time hours: open with availability Monday‑Saturday.

• Must have a valid/active driver’s license.
• Must have reliable transportation.

Responsible for properly cleaning, photographing, and reconditioning pre‑owned and new vehicles. Duties include, but are not limited to:

• Obtain customer and manager instructions regarding the type of service requested and provide additional information as appropriate.
• Perform the requested service including preparing, cleaning, and repairing the vehicles.
• Operate all equipment—vacuum, pressure washer, rotary buffer, dual action polisher, and vapor steam machine extractor—in an efficient manner.
• Detail vehicles as needed: washing, drying, wheel and tire cleaning, clay bar, polishing and protecting paint, leather cleaning and conditioning, upholstery cleaning, carpet cleaning, and paint correction.
• Photograph new and pre‑owned vehicles after proper training.
• Promote the company’s image through uniformed personal appearance, conduct, and communication.
• Maintain a neat and orderly work environment.
• Maintain all chemicals and materials assigned.
• Record accurate information—including stock numbers, vehicle identification numbers, make, model, color of vehicles being serviced, and the service performed—and provide information to management daily.
• Clean shop area, including sweeping, garbage removal, and floor cleaning.

This position requires regular physical activity, including standing, walking, using hands, reaching, stooping, kneeling, crouching, crawling, climbing, balancing, and working in loud environments. It also involves exposure to strong chemical smells, occasional sitting, lifting or moving up to 75 pounds, and the need for specific vision abilities (close and peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus).
