Overview
Responsible for receiving and dispatching 9-1-1 and non-emergency requests for law enforcement responses and/or patient transport. Evaluates and prioritizes calls for service and dispatch the appropriate personnel and equipment. Using a computer aided dispatch (CAD) system, monitors and updates Campus Police units. Using the RCS 800 Mhz radio system, monitors several frequencies, transmits vital response information to the field units, and processes field requests as they are received.
Maintains situational awareness for weather and other incidents in the area to keep field units and management appraised of any noteworthy activity. Maintains and updates several reference logs in the Communications Center and performs other duties as assigned.
