Base pay range: $112,000/yr - $170,000/yr
Position OverviewA highly respected and well-established general contractor in the Raleigh market is seeking an accomplished Senior Project Manager to lead complex commercial construction projects and mentor project teams. This is a key leadership role for a construction professional who thrives in a fast‑paced environment and takes pride in delivering high‑quality work.
Key Responsibilities- Provide overall leadership and direction for multiple or large‑scale commercial construction projects
- Oversee project planning, scheduling, budgeting, and forecasting
- Manage client relationships and serve as the primary point of contact throughout the project lifecycle
- Lead, mentor, and develop Project Managers, Assistant Project Managers, and project teams
- Oversee subcontractor selection, contract negotiations, change orders, and risk management
- Ensure projects are delivered safely, on schedule, within budget, and to quality standards
- Collaborate with preconstruction and estimating teams during early project phases
- Proactively identify and resolve project risks, challenges, and opportunities
- 8+ years of experience with a general contractor in commercial construction
- Proven track record managing complex, ground‑up and/or large renovation projects
- Strong leadership, communication, and decision‑making skills
- Deep understanding of construction means and methods, contracts, and scheduling
- Proficiency in construction management software and scheduling tools
- Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field preferred
