** This role ensures G/FORE’s Men’s and Women's Apparel collections meet the highest standards of fit, construction, and quality. Working closely with the Technical Design Manager, you will lead the technical fit process from concept through bulk production, collaborating across Design, Product Development, and Production to deliver premium garments that reflect the brand’s performance and lifestyle ethos.
*** ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
*** Drive the fit approval process from design inception through bulk production.
* Collaborate with Design and Product Development to establish and maintain core fit blocks and graded specs.
* Manage fittings, document detailed notes, and update tech packs with accurate fit comments.
* Create precise technical illustrations to communicate construction changes to factories.
* Develop and/or correct patterns as needed to maintain design integrity.
* Partner with production teams and vendors on quality control, testing, and compliance.
* Monitor critical path timelines to ensure on-time approvals and ex-factory dates.
* Mentor and guide Associate and Assistant Technical Designers to maintain workflow efficiency.
** COMPETENCIES
* ** Expertise in garment fit analysis and pattern development.
* Ability to create and manage accurate technical specs and grade rules.
* Proficiency in Adobe Illustrator and Excel for tech pack management.
* Strong problem-solving skills to address construction and fit challenges.
* Effective communication and collaboration across cross-functional teams.
* Organized and detail-oriented with ability to manage multiple priorities.
* Knowledge of PLM systems and digital workflow tools preferred.
** DESIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
*** 5–7 years’ experience as a technical designer with expertise in men’s and women’s apparel.
* Background in textiles and garment construction.
* Advanced proficiency in Adobe Illustrator and Microsoft Excel.
* Strong knowledge of pattern making and grading.
* Experience with PLM systems preferred.
* Excellent attention to detail and ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
