Role Overview:

The Freelance Creative Producer is a part-time, Raleigh-based role responsible for producing social-first creative content — primarily short-form video and still photography — from pre-production through final delivery. This role partners closely with Indie’s creative, social & influencer, and client services teams to plan shoots, manage production timelines, and keep deliverables moving on schedule and on brief.

The Creative Producer owns the logistics that make great content possible: scheduling, shot lists, talent and location coordination, asset organization, and day-to-day project management across multiple concurrent client work streams. Strong project and timeline management skills are essential — this person keeps every production organized, visible, and on track.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Produce short-form video and still photography content for client social channels, from pre-production planning through final asset delivery
  • Build and manage production timelines, shot lists, and delivery schedules across multiple concurrent client projects
  • Coordinate shoot logistics, including locations, talent, props, and equipment
  • Manage day-to-day project status in Click Up, keeping tasks, owners, and deadlines current and visible to the broader team
  • Partner with creative and social teams to translate briefs into executable production plans
  • Organize, tag, and deliver final assets according to Indie’s file and naming standards
  • Flag timeline risks, scope changes, and resourcing needs early, and propose solutions
  • Support on-set production days in the Raleigh area as needed
Requirements
  • 5+ years of experience in creative production, content production, or a related role, with a focus on social content (short-form video and stills)
  • Based in Raleigh, NC, with availability for in-person shoots and on-site production days
  • Comfortable on camera and open to appearing in social content as needed
  • Strong project management and timeline management skills across multiple concurrent projects
  • Experience with Click Up (or comparable project management tools, with willingness to work in Click Up) strongly preferred
  • Familiarity with social platform specs, formats, and content best practices (Tik Tok, Instagram Reels, You Tube Shorts)
  • Experience coordinating shoots: talent, locations, equipment, and crew
  • Highly organized, detail-oriented, and proactive communicator
  • Agency or consultancy experience preferred

Experience working with consumer or CPG brands preferred

Reporting Relationship: Creative & Client Services Leadership

Education & Experience: Bachelor’s degree in Film, Media, Communications, Marketing, or related field, or equivalent professional experience

Compensation: [Hourly/day rate TBD], commensurate with experience

Engagement: Part-time freelance/contract; hours vary with production schedules

Location: Raleigh, NC — must be local for in-person shoots and production days
