A Sports Programs Events Supervisor is the primary point of contact for event execution, proactively directing activities, and ensuring a safe, supervised environment. In this role, you will provide support for external and student group events, oversee the successful management of facility reservations, and maintain effective operations during all evening and weekend shifts. - Event & Facility Operations Set up and break down equipment for events and vendors.
- Reporting Stay up to date with event logistics and inform professional staff of shift details.
- Participant Education Provide participants and visitors with correct information about events and the facility.
- Conflict Management Manage participants and visitors behaviors and mediate conflict.
- Emergency Response Proactively assess and respond to potential risks to prevent harm to participants or staff. Provide initial care and coordinate a professional response to injuries.

Other Work / Responsibilities- Guideline Enforcement Understand and enforce Wellness and Recreation and area specific guidelines.
- Risk Management Knowledge and implementation of emergency action plan.
- Training and Meetings Attend required training and staff meetings.
- Community Develop professional relationships with co‑workers, participants and guests.
- Support Perform other related duties to support the overall functioning of the department.
- Environment Both indoors and outdoors with potential exposure to adverse weather. Requires monitoring and responding to environmental conditions (e.g., field wetness, lightning) to ensure participants safety and manage game delays or cancellations.
- Physical Frequent standing, sitting, walking, bending, reaching, and lifting weight up to 40 lbs regularly.
- Sensory Potentially loud and busy work environment that requires strong communication and observation skills.
- Schedule Flexibility in your availability is needed to potentially work early mornings, late nights, weekends, and breaks.
- Safety Exposure to potential safety hazards and adherence to the emergency action plan to mitigate risk.
