Senior Landscape Designer

$65,000-$80,000 salary + bonus

Do you know how to turn a client's vision into an outdoor space they can't wait to build — and confidently guide them from the first conversation to a signed project?

Currin Outdoor Living is seeking an experienced Senior Landscape Designer to lead the creative vision and client design process for high-end residential and commercial outdoor living projects.

This isn't just a drafting position. You'll meet directly with clients, develop and present luxury landscape concepts, create detailed 2D construction documents and photorealistic 3D designs, and help move projects from initial consultation through design approval and construction handoff.

We're looking for someone who combines exceptional design ability, technical landscape knowledge, and strong client-facing communication skills.

Compensation & Benefits
  • $65,000-$80,000 salary + bonus
  • Health Insurance
  • Retirement Plan
  • Paid Time Off and Holiday Pay
  • Professional Development Opportunities
  • Company Cell Phone
What You'll Do
  • Lead client consultations, design presentations, and project pitches
  • Create compelling landscape and outdoor living concepts based on client goals, property conditions, and project scope
  • Develop construction-ready 2D drawings and photorealistic 3D renderings
  • Use AutoCAD, Rhino 3D, and other design tools to produce professional plans and presentations
  • Translate client ideas into accurate, buildable, and profitable project concepts
  • Guide clients through design decisions, budgets, timelines, and project changes
  • Address questions and objections professionally and help move projects toward approval
  • Collaborate with junior design staff on complex landscape, pool, and custom outdoor living projects
  • Work with vendors and subcontractors to develop accurate project costs and comprehensive proposals
  • Partner with the estimating and construction teams to ensure designs can be successfully executed in the field
  • Manage design details and project information from initial consultation through final handoff
What We're Looking For
  • 5+ years of experience in the landscape design/build or landscape architecture industry
  • Professional landscape design experience
  • Strong proficiency with Rhino 3D and Autodesk AutoCAD-based programs
  • Working knowledge of CAD and 3D modeling software
  • Strong knowledge of landscape and hardscape construction
  • Professional hand-sketching ability
  • A.A.S. or B.S. in Landscape Design, Landscape Architecture, or a related field
  • Strong computer skills, including email, spreadsheets, and Google Drive
  • Excellent organization and attention to detail
  • Ability to take ownership of projects and follow details through completion
The Right Person for This Role
  • You're more than a talented designer.
  • You're comfortable sitting across from a client, listening to what they want, presenting your ideas with confidence, and explaining why a particular design works.
  • You understand that a beautiful design also needs to be buildable and profitable.
  • You're able to navigate conversations about budget, timelines, changes, and expectations without losing sight of the client's experience or the company's goals.
  • And when it's time to hand a project to the construction team, you've created plans and documentation that allow them to confidently bring your vision to life.
