We are seeking a compassionate, patient-centered Board Eligible or Board Certified Psychiatrist to join our dedicated team in providing high-quality care on our 28-bed adult inpatient psychiatric unit. Our unit serves individuals with a broad spectrum of mental health conditions, offering a dynamic and collaborative clinical environment. This position follows a 7-on/7-off schedule, promoting work-life balance while allowing for continuity of care.

Key Responsibilities
- Conduct initial psychiatric evaluations and daily rounds on patients.
- Develop comprehensive treatment plans in collaboration with nurses, social workers, and other team members.
- Participate in treatment team meetings, discharge planning, and interdisciplinary case conferences.
- Provide supervision or consultation to other staff as needed.
- Offers opportunity to teach medical students
- Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathy (DO) degree.
- Completion of an accredited residency program in Psychiatry.
- Board-certified or board-eligible in Psychiatry.
- Licensed to practice medicine in the state of North Carolina
- DEA certification and the ability to prescribe controlled substances.
- Inpatient psychiatric experience preferred, but not required.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a team-based environment.
