Pay RangeBase pay: $60,000.00/yr – $70,000.00/yr
This is the range provided by Second Mile Education. Your actual pay will be based on your skills and experience — talk with your recruiter to learn more.
Responsibilities- Model lessons in classrooms daily/weekly.
- Facilitate the intellectual and professional development of teachers.
- Create positive relationships with teachers, administrators and coaches.
- Communicate and demonstrate research‑based instructional practices that result in increased student performance and improved classroom environment.
- Communicate effectively with all members of the community.
- Encourage professional growth and provide organized, individual and/or group learning opportunities for teachers.
- Assist teachers with designing instructional decisions based on assessment data and culturally responsive practices.
- Assist teachers with resources, materials, tools, information, etc. to support classroom instruction and planning, including new resources.
- Assist teachers in creating materials that are in alignment with curriculum.
- Instruct and support teachers with curriculum software products, and classroom/curriculum related technologies.
- Provide support in analyzing student assessment data.
- Support, implement and assess various instructional programs and program effects on student achievement.
- Develop coaching plans for teachers to ensure student improvement.
- Provide mentor support to beginning teachers.
- Participate in goal/plan setting and evaluation.

- Ability to multitask, manage large projects, and adhere to deadlines.
- Ability to keep up‑to‑date with current events and technologies in the business and postsecondary sectors.
- Ability to maintain curricular and industry knowledge.
- Ability to facilitate meetings and professional development opportunities.
- Ability in using student‑level data to guide instructional decisions.
- Demonstrated ability to communicate in a professional manner both orally and in writing.
- Demonstrated strength in organization, communication skills and efficiency in meeting deadlines.
- Demonstrated ability to function as a positive collaborative member of a team.
- Knowledge of using a variety of assessment tools.
- Knowledge of researched‑based instructional strategies that engage all students.
- Demonstrated willingness and ability to assume a leadership position.
Education and Experience
- Bachelor’s Degree in education from an accredited institution.
- Teaching Certification in respective state.
- Minimum five (5) years teaching experience.
- Master’s Degree in Educational Leadership or equivalent.
- Previous academic coaching or teacher leadership experience.
- Minimum five (5) years teaching experience.
