Certified Art Teacher

Children’s Art Classes is expanding to the North Raleigh area. We are currently accepting applications to fill our art instructor positions. Our North Raleigh location is scheduled to open this fall - targeted for November.

We are looking for a Lead Teacher and a Substitute Teacher with potential for additional hours as we grow. The qualifications for this position include the following:

• Minimum of 5 years teaching experience
• Certified art teacher
• Organizational skills
• Ability to implement a set curriculum

Pay is $20/hour up to 20 hours a week. All supplies and full curriculum are provided. On-going monthly training required. Small class sizes, limited to 12 students per class.

Requirements:

• Must be at least 18 years old
• Must be able to work regular set hours for ongoing classes (Lead Teacher) or handle last minute coverage (Substitute)
• Must be able to work with students of all ages (3-16+)
• Must have reliable transportation
• Must be comfortable with bending, kneeling, and lifting up to 50 pounds
• Must be comfortable with working on your feet for long periods of time (up to 8 hours)
• Must pass a background check
• Must be eligible to work in Wake County, NC

Responsibilities:

• Provide instruction and guidance for students in the studio in line with established curriculum
• Assist with parent and drop-in inquiries to answer questions about student work, class availability, and enrollment
• Assist with daily studio operations including cleaning and organizing materials
• Assist with inventory of supplies
