Job Duties Worship (Primary Role)

Oversee all musical and technical aspects of the weekly Sunday worship services.

Collaborate with the pastoral team to plan weekly liturgy and select music that supports the preaching and worship flow.

Recruit, develop, and shepherd a healthy team of musicians and technicians, fostering unity, spiritual growth, and musical excellence.

Regularly lead mid-week worship rehearsals and ensure preparation for Sunday services.

Expanded Ministry Opportunities (Depending on Skills and Calling)

While the primary focus of this role is worship ministry, Redeemer values team players with broader gifts who can contribute to the life of the church.

Opportunities may include:

• Assisting with Community Groups: welcoming newcomers, helping them connect, supporting group leaders, aiding leader development, and preparing sermon discussion guides.
• Providing pastoral care and engaging in teaching or preaching as gifted and able.
• Supporting community‑building efforts among our college and young adult ministries.
• Offering care and presence to the lonely, the hurting, the depressed, and others in need of shepherding.
• Participate in communication efforts, presbytery‑related work, and other responsibilities as needed to support the ministry of the church.

Position Qualifications Personal Profile

The following characteristics are desired in the candidates personal profile:

• Ordained or Ordainable in the PCA – preferred but not required

  Experience:
  
  Ideally 3‑5 years full time ministry experience, but there is flexibility depending on the candidate
• Spiritual Maturity:
  Loves the LORD and displays a mature, growing, repentant and joyful relationship with Him.
• Shepherds Heart:
  Able to pastor people in different stages of life and through various joys and trials.
• Musically Gifted:
  Understands music and worship from various styles, competent instrumentally on guitar and/or piano (ideally both) and is able to lead people in the worship of God.
• Technically Competent: (optional but preferred) Possesses skills and knowledge to oversee the technical areas related to the AV needs of worship.
• Team Oriented:
  Devoted to collaborating and communicating clearly with staff, leadership, ministry teams and musical teams
