Assistant Wrestling Coach, Division 1 Wrestling
Location: NC State University, College of Sports and Recreation.
Work Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 am–5:00 pm with nights, weekends and holidays as needed.
- Adhere to NCAA, ACC and university policies; attend compliance education meetings.
- Assist with scouting and recruitment of student‑athletes, including campus visits.
- Instruct students on teamwork, skill development, physical health and safety; coach in assigned areas.
- Monitor conditioning in conjunction with Strength Coach and Athletic Training staff.
- Participate in preparatory meetings and implement strategies developed in them.
- Counsel students on eligibility, academic performance, conduct and appearance.
- Monitor academic progress and eligibility; maintain APR above 950.
- Encourage community service, internships, jobs and volunteer work.
- Maintain statistics and interface with officials.
- Engage in public relations activities, including interviews and press conferences.
- Plan and coordinate approved fundraising activities.
- Assist with budget preparations, schedule development and travel arrangements.
- Ensure availability and condition of equipment; work with Student Managers.
- Participate in clinics, exhibitions and camps.
- Perform other duties and special projects as assigned by the Head Coach and Athletics Administration.
- Bachelor’s Degree required.
- Minimum one year coaching experience with a Division 1 collegiate wrestling program.
- Minimum three years coaching or competing at the collegiate level.
- Knowledge of and commitment to ACC, NCAA and university compliance.
- Must pass the annual NCAA Coaches exam.
- Valid New
C. State driver’s license required.
- Master’s Degree preferred.
- Three to five years coaching experience with a collegiate team preferred.
