In this role you will report to the Senior Director for TRIO Collegiate and Pack Support Programs and will play a key role in helping students successfully transition into and through NC State. TRIO Collegiate and Pack Support oversees programs including TRIO Collegiate, 1887 Scholars, and Pack Promise, which provide mentoring, academic guidance, educational programming, and other resources that support student success.

The Assistant Director will support 1887 Scholars, Pack Promise, and First in the Pack, with additional responsibilities supporting rural students and other identified student populations as needed. The position develops and delivers student success programs, provides individual and group coaching, builds campus partnerships, and connects students with resources that support their academic and personal goals.

As a successful candidate you will be able to manage multiple priorities, build strong relationships, and translate student needs into effective programs and services.

• Develop, implement, and assess programs that support student transition, engagement, academic progress, and success.
• Contribute to strategic planning, goal setting, program evaluation, and annual reporting.
• Lead signature programs and educational initiatives, including program delivery and instruction.
• Use structured coaching and development models such as Inside Track, Strengths Finder, and other evidence-informed approaches.
• Provide individual and group coaching to a designated student caseload and connect students with appropriate campus resources.
• Collaborate with campus partners to coordinate services and opportunities that support student success.

• Develop and assess program learning outcomes using appropriate evaluation tools and methods.
