AECOM is hosting an exclusive, invitation-only hiring event in Raleigh on January 28-29, 2026
. This is a great opportunity to learn and connect with AECOM for career opportunities starting Spring/Summer 2026.
The event kicks off on Wednesday evening with a networking mixer from 6-8 pm
, where you can hear from AECOM staff about various projects, career paths, and the company itself. You’ll also have the chance to meet other students, recent graduates, and AECOM professionals from across our business lines.
On Thursday, interviews will take place at our Raleigh office. This is a fantastic opportunity to learn about and connect with AECOM for early career opportunities.
AECOM's transportation team in Raleigh, NC is seeking an Entry-Level Bridge Engineer to work in the bridge/structures group.
ResponsibilitiesThe responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:
- Assisting with the completion of field inspections and reporting on a regular basis of in-service bridges throughout North Carolina.
- Assist in the design and plan preparation for new and replacement bridges and structures in North Carolina and throughout the southeast region.
- Develop an awareness of standard practices, techniques, and procedures under supervision.
- Research alternate solutions and design options in support of the project team, e.g. white paper research, code review.
- Provide analysis to support development of design ideas and solutions.
- Communicate and collaborate with full design team and others.
- Support and assist the development of work products such as specifications, drawings, and illustrative graphics.
- Follow specific, detail instructions and set of technical approach for design.
- Develop details, edit specific, and have an awareness of QMS procedures.
- Assist in preparation of designs, calculations, sketches, diagrams, schematic drawings and working drawings.
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
- Valid U.S. Driver’s License, and as a condition of employment, must pass AECOM’s motor vehicle records review.
- Basic knowledge of word processors and spreadsheet tools (Microsoft Word and Excel).
- Experience or training in a CADD program (e.g., Micro Station, Open Roads Designer, Open Bridge Designer, AutoCAD).
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Experience in structural design and/or analysis software.
- Relocation assistance is not available for this position.
- Sponsorship for U.S. employment authorization is not available now or in the future for this position.
