NC - Project Engineer, Pharma Process Engineering Greenfield

Position: Project Engineer – Pharma Greenfield Project - Drug Product Manufacturing/Process Engineering

Location: Eventual facility project construction site location in Raleigh/Durham, NC area. Per diem/travel and lodging are available for travelers.

Position start: On-site in the Greater Philadelphia, PA area during design through approximately June 2026 (design phase work in PA with travel expense coverage). Thereafter, on-site at the designated project site in Holly Springs, NC for the duration of the assignment.

• Be the Owner’s Rep on behalf of the pharma client’s project engineering delivery team.
• Work with the core project team through project phases to ensure core processing equipment and facilities conform to IFC drawings and design documents.
• Attend equipment design meetings with equipment vendors.
• Respond to vendor submittals to ensure compliance with project drawings, specifications, and user requirements.
• Execute FAT, write-up and review using existing documentation and protocols.
• Coordinate process equipment receipt verification.
• Collaborate with internal and external pharma client/owner’s project partners to align activities related to core processing systems equipment installation and startup with the design.
• Support equipment start-up and troubleshooting.
• Execute clean utility C&Q (Qualification) activities, write-ups, and reviews using existing documentation and protocols.
• Manage turnover packages (TOP).
• Manage deviation processes.
• Provide equipment installation support and coordinate with the General Contractor and Construction Manager.
• Procure, install, start-up, and qualify analytical equipment.
• Coordinate with automation engineering teams on control systems design, installation, and commissioning for core processing systems.
• Manage vendor documents and change requests.

• Buffer prep, compounding, filling tanks
• Utility panel for the compounding and filling area
• Automated visual inspection system
• CIP/SIP
• Analytical and benchtop equipment

• 40 hours per week at the co-location site in the greater Philadelphia area. After June 2026, travel to PA is not required as work shifts to the NC facility site, with full-time presence in NC.
• Travel is facilitated and approved by the pharma client/owner’s travel policy process.

• Bachelor of Science in Chemical Engineering or Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• 4–10 years of experience in pharmaceutical manufacturing CAPEX projects, Drug Product manufacturing, or device and packaging.

Compensation is based on relevant experience.
