• Managing a variety of transportation projects from design through construction, driving project success and influencing sustainable outcomes.
• Implementing best practices and process improvements to enhance project delivery efficiency and effectiveness.
• Mentoring staff and contributing to the technical engineering team’s development.
• Providing leadership and technical expertise to the Engineering team, collaborating with other disciplines as needed.
• Preparing schedules, budgets, and scopes of services for projects.
• Managing workload balance and supporting regional leadership in business development.
• Providing quality control over team deliverables.

• 12+ years of experience as a Transportation Engineer in a consulting environment or public entity; 5+ years as a Project Manager; 3+ years managing staff.
• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering.
• Professional Engineering (P.E.) license or TE (Traffic Engineer) licensure.
• Experience in active, non‑motorized transportation and DOT/Federally funded design projects.
• Experience preparing Plans, Specifications and Estimates for roadway projects and strong project management principles.
• Ability to guide staff and manage internal team expectations.
• Strong initiative and ability to enhance Alta’s market position.
• Ability to manage competing priorities, multiple simultaneous cross‑functional projects within budget and schedule constraints.
• Willingness to travel.
• Excellent professional ethics, leadership, accountability and decision‑making skills.
• Good presentation skills.
• Working knowledge of MS Excel, Word, MS Project or equivalent, AutoCAD or Micro Station.
• Proficiency in an enterprise‑wide resource planning and project management tool.

• Master’s degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
• Experience managing large projects for private and public clients.
• Experience using Deltek Vision.
• Active participation in industry‑relevant professional associations and committees.

Salary range: $120,000 - $170,000 annually. Placement within the range is based on experience, skill‑sets, and qualifications.
