Entry Level Site​/Civil Engineer

Dewberry's Raleigh, NC office is currently seeking an Entry Level Site/Civil Engineer to support site/civil and utility engineering functions associated with projects throughout North Carolina. This position will work in a multi‑disciplined team environment with designers, landscape architects, and professional engineers to prepare site/civil and utility construction drawings. Clients may include universities, local government, federal government, municipal government, and private land developers.

• Civil/Site development including grading design; roadway design; storm water management systems design; sanitary sewer design, water design, and erosion and sediment control design.
• Work with a Professional Engineer in preparing all associated drawing packages, deliverables, calculations, reports, and spreadsheets.
• Collaborate with other disciplines to achieve project goals and deadlines.
• Use AutoCAD, Civil3D, MS Excel, MS Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, Adobe Acrobat, and Blue Beam to perform technical work.
• Learn and become proficient in Dewberry engineering practices and standards and perform quality reviews of assigned tasks.

• BS degree in Civil Engineering.
• EIT is required.
• 0-2 years of design experience related to site development projects.
• AutoCAD Civil3D proficiency.
• Able to work on different tasks with teams and meet project deadlines.
• Work in a timely fashion to meet project budgets.
• Communicates effectively.
• Composes technical reports, permit documents, memorandums, and other written communication such as email.
