Job Overview
Arm’s Solution Engineering team is excited to collaborate with SoC verification engineers in Austin
. New team members will work with RTL design and verification engineers across the UK, US, France, and Hungary to build best‑in‑class SoCs. Arm is building a team to develop silicon demonstrators based on Arm’s compute subsystem solutions targeting premium mobile, infrastructure, and automotive markets. Using the latest nodes (e.g., 3nm) and new 3D packaging developments, Arm aims to demonstrate industry best‑in‑class performance by architecting, designing, implementing, and fabricating powerful silicon test chips.
This initiative invites innovative talent from the semiconductor industry to drive how next‑generation compute on Arm devices are built.
- Creative verification engineer with knowledge of SoC integration verification, scenario verification, performance verification, PCIe/CXL, DDRx/LPDDRx integration verification in SoC RTL.
- Work with the project team to understand and review architecture and design specifications, and build a functional verification strategy.
- Craft test plans, develop System Verilog/Verilog test benches and tests, debug test failures and issues.
- Contribute to developing and improving the verification methodologies used by the team.
- Work closely with other teams on design microarchitecture, verification methodologies, system performance, etc.
- Guide and support other members of the team as needed to enable successful completion of project activities.
- Balance other opportunities such as working with Project Management on activities, plans, and schedule while guiding and supporting junior members of the team.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science or Electrical/Computer Engineering (or similar field).
- 5+ years of experience working in design or verification of sophisticated compute subsystems or SoCs.
- Solid understanding of digital hardware design and Verilog HDL.
- Detailed understanding and experience of current verification strategies for sophisticated SoC development, including software‑based techniques.
- Experience verifying subsystems for PCIe/CXL, DDRx/LPDDRx, HBM.
- Good knowledge of test plan creation and tracking.
- Experience verifying RTL for SoC projects.
- Low‑level programming experience including C and Assembler.
- Experience with Arm‑based designs and/or ARM System Architectures.
- Experience with System Verilog and verification methodologies – UVM/OVM/e.
- Formal verification techniques.
- Clock domain crossing verification.
- Experience or knowledge in Perl, Python or other scripting language.
- Power‑aware verification.
- Porting peripheral driver software.
- Development and deployment of complex Arm SoCs on multiple emulation platforms as well as hands‑on test bench development.
