Job Responsibilities- Working as an embedded ATCS employee at NCDOT Century Center 2-3 days a week performing GESC project management duties on an as needed basis.
- Technical designer for a variety of civil engineering transportation projects.
- Preparing design calculations, using appropriate software, roadways and site improvements.
- Work under senior level engineers and managers to provide innovative design solutions and solve project challenges.
- Communicate with internal and external clients to ensure effective engineering design solutions.
- Work in a team environment between multiple disciplines on a daily basis.
- Perform quality assurance and quality reviews of design plans, specifications, and estimates.
- Occasionally travel to other offices and project sites as needed.
- Bachelor’s Degree Civil Engineering from ABET accredited engineering program.
- Minimum of 20+ years of experience in roadway/transportation design – preferably in North Carolina.
- Demonstrate working ability with design and modeling computer software - Micro Station and Open Roads Designer.
- Familiarity with AASHTO, NCDOT and regional design standards, practices and policies.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to effectively communicate with others.
For this position, we offer a competitive salary range of $100,000 to $140,000 per year
, commensurate with experience and qualifications. The role is also eligible for an annual bonus, with a target 2% of the employee's annualized salary.
