Teamwith this exciting role, you will help drive the development of next-generation dry-type and liquid-filled distribution and traction transformers through cutting-edge circuit-level, electromagnetic, and multi-physics simulations. Working alongsideadiversenetworkofR&D,engineering,testing,andproductdevelopmentprofessionals,youwillplayakeyroleinacceleratinginnovationandenablingsmarter,moreefficientproductdevelopment.

This position offers the opportunity to influence product performance from the earliest design stages by leveraging simulation-driven methodologies to predict outcomes, reduce development risks, and support a shift-left approach to engineering. Analyzetransformerperformance,includinglosses,impedance,leakagefields,transientbehavior,inductances,andshort-circuitforces.

Support simulation-drivenproductdevelopmentstrategiesthatenableearlydesignvalidationandpredictionoffactorytestresults.

Developandmaintainautomatedsimulationworkflowsandengineeringtoolstoimproveefficiencyandaccuracy.

Advanceinnovativemulti-physicsmethodologiesbyintegratingelectrical,structural,thermomechanical,andacousticsimulations.

Contributetofeasibilitystudies,technologyassessments,andthedevelopmentofnewproductsandtechnicalconcepts.

Supportprototypevalidationandtestingactivitiestoverifysimulationmodelsandenhanceproductperformance.

Sharetechnicalexpertisethroughdesignguidelines,internal training,andclosecollaborationwithengineeringanddesignteams.

YourBackgroundM.Sc.orPh.D.in Electrical

Engineering.

Professionalexperienceinelectricalengineering;experiencerelatedtotransformerdesignishighlyvalued.

Strongknowledgeofcircuittheory,electromagnetics,andtransformerphysics.

Experiencewithelectromagneticfiniteelementanalysis(FEA) toolssuchasANSYSMaxwell,COMSOLMultiphysics,Altair Flux,FEMM,orsimilarplatforms.

KnowledgeofsimulationandprogrammingtoolssuchasLTspice,PSpice,Power Factory,ETAP,Python,MATLAB,orC#.Strong analytical,communication,andcollaborationskills,withtheabilitytoworkeffectivelyinaglobalenvironmentandwillingnesstotravelasneeded.
