- Utilize 3D modeling for product design and mechanical system integration, ensuring accuracy through GDT (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing) standards.
- Oversee construction activities related to fire protection installations, ensuring adherence to safety protocols and building codes.
- Provide technical guidance and leadership within project teams while maintaining clear communication across disciplines.
- Conduct research on emerging fire safety technologies and incorporate innovative solutions into project proposals.
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Systems Engineering, or a related field; advanced degrees or certifications in fire protection engineering are preferred.
- Proven experience practicing in an industrial or manufacturing engineering role with a focus on fire safety systems.
- Strong knowledge of building code compliance, fire protection standards (such as NFPA), and construction practices.
- Proficiency in CAD software (AutoCAD), BIM tools, Solid Works, and 3D scanning technologies for product design and system modeling.
- Familiarity with programmable logic controllers (PLCs), scripting languages (Python, C++), MATLAB, and data analysis skills for system troubleshooting.
- Experience in project management including scheduling, resource allocation, and cross‑functional team leadership.
- Ability to perform root cause analysis using data collection techniques and laboratory testing when necessary.
- Knowledge of mechanical design principles including schematics creation, GD&T standards, and mechanical system integration.
