To continue to perform and grow our traffic design services in North Carolina, Mott Mac Donald is expanding our Traffic Engineering team. With a significant backlog of work, we are searching for a Traffic Engineer with NCDOT traffic signals experience and knowledge. This role is based in our Raleigh, NC office.

Responsibilities of the position will include, but may not be limited to:

Provide project and technical leadership in Traffic Engineering Demonstrate thorough understanding of traffic engineering principles required to complete projects for clients in the southeastern US region

Provide input and responsibility on a wide range of transportation projects

Demonstrated the ability to direct and coordinate work with subject matter experts and consultants to meet schedules

Assign, review, and evaluate project deliverables for quality and consistency with project scope

Deliver technical projects and reports

We invite applications from candidates with the following experience:

BS (Civil) Engineering, or equivalent

Professional registration preferred (not required)
Professional Traffic Operations Engineer (PTOE) a plus5+ years’ experience in Traffic & Transportation Engineering preferred

Signal design, signal timing plan development, signing plan development, ITS and/or traffic control experience a plus Excellent verbal communication and interpersonal skills

Excellent written communication skills and attention to detail

Experience or training in computer applications and operations (Microsoft Office, Micro Station (ORD and/or V8i), etc.)Bring your expertise, curiosity, and drive to make a difference.
