Recruitment & Marketing Coordinator at the North Carolina Office of the State AuditorThe Office of the State Auditor (OSA) is seeking an Investigative Analyst to assist the Special Investigations Division by receiving, entering, investigating, and analyzing complaints related to government waste, abuse, and fraud.
OSA is the state’s Fiscal Watchdog. We hold state government and entities that receive public money accountable, working on behalf of North Carolinians to eliminate waste, fraud, and abuse.
As part of our team, you will get to:
• Conduct preliminary investigations and perform analyses of complaints to determine potential courses of action
• Speak with complainants and other witnesses to gather information and documentation needed to begin an investigation
• Will conduct background investigations, including researching and evaluating federal, state, and local regulations
• At times, be called upon to conduct site visits with members of the Investigative Audit team
• Document findings within an investigative report and may assist with writing public reports of the Investigative Team's findings

Minimum Education and Experience
A bachelor’s degree from an appropriately accredited institution and three (3) years of experience in the program related to the area of assignment
