The department at UNC-Chapel Hill seeks a highly motivated Research Assistant to join our collaborative team. Our department is dedicated to advancing the understanding of trauma recovery and developing interventions that improve outcomes for trauma survivors. Temporary-Technical/Paraprofessional

UTS - Temporary Research Assistant at UNC Chapel Hill

M-F, 8:00am-5:00pm

Other duties as needed.

• Bachelor’s degree in psychology, neuroscience, public health, biology, or a related field

• Support the Principal Investigators, Managing Director, Project Managers, and senior coordinators on several ongoing and upcoming clinical research studies
• Assist with study start-up activities and regulatory documentation
• Screen and recruit participants, obtain informed consent, and conduct study visits and follow-up surveys (in-person and by phone)
• Collect, enter, and verify research data with high attention to detail
• Maintain study materials, including manuals of procedures and study logs
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team across UNC and partner institutions

• Bachelor’s degree in psychology, neuroscience, public health, biology, or a related field
• Strong interpersonal and organizational skills, with a genuine interest in patient-centered research
• Prior research or clinical experience preferred but not required — training will be provided
• Enthusiasm for working in a fast-paced, collaborative academic research environment
