Weekend‑Only Option – Full‑Time with Flexibility

Work Locations

As part of the Staffing Response Team, nurses will float between the UNC REX Raleigh and UNC REX Holly Springs campuses. Daily unit assignments are determined based on the real‑time staffing needs at both locations.

Role Overview

This position is well‑suited for nurses with a minimum of one year of inpatient experience in one or more of the following areas:

  • Medical‑Surgical (Med‑Surg)
  • Intermediate Care
  • Critical Care

New team members will initially support Med‑Surg units, providing essential coverage and high‑quality care.

After approximately six months, and based on department needs, nurses may have the opportunity to receive additional training to float into other specialties and care areas.

Summary

Provides competent clinical nursing care consistent with professional standards. Reporting and accountable to the Nurse Manager/Director, the Clinical Nurse is responsible for coordinating and delivering patient care utilizing the nursing process on the Rex Staffing Response Team.
