Referral Coordinator

Position Summary

• Reviewing and entering new referrals to RO physicians.
• Data entry of demographics and insurance information for new referrals to the practice.
• Addressing referral issues with community providers.
• Maintaining compliance for co-management documents with co-managing providers for cataract surgery.
• Assisting with urgent referral scheduling.
• Maintaining multiple platforms and resources receiving referrals.
• Maintaining fax inbox receiving referral follow-up notes.

• Displays high level of professionalism and gives superb customer service.
• Careful attention to detail a must!
• Obtains and reviews patient demographic and insurance information for accuracy.
• Verifies insurance eligibility when entering referral information.
• Schedules urgent referral appointments.
• Coordinates with other staff to ensure optimal patient experience.
