As the Immunization Outreach Coordination Supervisor you'll lead and oversee the Immunization Tracking Team to ensure effective vaccine management, compliance, and community health support. This role provides strategic direction, supervision, and consultation for immunization activities, including vaccine supply monitoring, budget oversight, and staff development. You will serve as a key liaison between Wake County employees, community medical providers, and the North Carolina Immunization Program (NCIP) to promote best practices and maintain compliance.
What you’ll do:
- Provides direct supervision to 2 Communicable Disease Technicians and works cooperatively with nursing to provide oversight to an additional Immunization Outreach Registered Nurse
- Oversee staffing, scheduling, and provide opportunities for training and professional development
- Monitor vaccine inventory throughout the organization’s specialty clinics and regional centers
- Prepare for annual immunization assessments, AFIX reviews, and site monitoring visits and represent the Immunization Tracking Team at agency and community events
- Build and maintain relationships with community providers and organizations as well as support the Public Health Division during planned and unplanned events
- Provide training and access to NCIR for Wake County employees and community medical staff
- Assist with vaccine-related issues and ensure immunization compliance for specific client cohorts
- Monitor expenditures, revenue, and ordering related to the unit budget
- Track and report immunization activities and outcomes

TheBasics (Required
Education and Experience )
- High school diploma or GED
- Two years of experience in clerical or administrative support work
- Equivalent education and experience are accepted

Education and Experience )
- Bachelor's degree
- Three (3) years of experience in Immunizations, Data Management and/or Outreach
- Good organizational and time management skills and demonstrated ability to problem solve using good judgment in a complex social and health services environment
- Attention to detail
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Knowledge of principles and methods for curriculum and training design, teaching and instruction for individuals and groups, and the measurement of training effects
- Good interpersonal and customer service skills
- Ability to effectively work as part of a team
- Identifying complex problems and reviewing related information to develop and evaluate options and implement solutions
