What You’ll Be Doing
Wake County’s Population Health team has an exciting and rewarding opportunity for you to become our new Program Assistant! Population Health works to eliminate health disparities among all populations living in Wake County. The CDC views population health as an interdisciplinary, customizable approach that allows health departments to connect practice to policy for change to happen locally. This approach uses non-traditional partnerships among different sectors of the community—public health, industry, academia, health care, local government entities, etc.—to
achieve positive health outcomes.

Wake Coalition & Work groups - Various Community Engagement events
- Supporting day to day administrative responsibilities associated with the division identified by project leads
- Maintaining programmatic records/files
- Coordinating meeting/event logistics
- Delivering email communication to internal and external project stakeholders
- Recording meeting notes and minutes
- Managing purchasing for Population Health needs by sourcing approved vendors, submitting purchase requests, coordinating with Finance, tracking orders, and ensuring all purchases align with county procurement guidelines and budget requirements

TheBasics (Required
Education and Experience )
- Associate's degree
- One year of job-related experience
- Equivalent education and experience are accepted
- Please include ALL prior work experience on your application and resume.
Education and Experience )
- Associate Degree or equivalent
- 2 years of related work experience for state/federal grant initiatives
- Basic knowledge in use of Microsoft Office
- Ability to work comfortably with multiple stakeholders
- Excellent customer service skills
- Excellent interpersonal skills, both oral and written communication
