American Traveler is hiring a CT Technologist with ARRT registration and advanced CT certification for a weekend overnight hospital assignment.
Details- Hospital-based CT Scan department
- Weekend overnight shifts Friday/Saturday/Sunday, 6:00 PM to 6:30 AM
- 36 hours per week across 3 shifts, 12 hours per shift
- No on-call requirements
- Every other holiday coverage required
- Uses PACS, Epic, and Impax service tools for image transmission and documentation
- ARRT registration required, or registry eligible with proof of diploma from accredited program
- Advanced certification in CT required
- BLS certification required
- Completion of an accredited educational program in Radiological Science
- Registry eligible candidates must become registered within one year of employment and maintain registry status with continuing education
- Experience with IV contrast injection procedures required
- License required if applicable
- Perform CT scans including image acquisition, multi-planar and 3D reconstruction per established protocols
- Administer oral and IV contrast to adult and pediatric patients, including establishing IV lines and verifying contrast eligibility
- Verify patient identification, obtain patient history, and document pregnancy status for patients of child-bearing age
- Transmit and verify images across PACS, EMR, and Epic systems while ensuring accurate charge and demographic information
- Maintain a consistent workflow, produce quality diagnostic images, and review patient charts and reports for correlation
- Document incidents as improvement opportunities and precept new employees and students
