The Lead Caregiver serves as a shift leader in senior care, ensuring exceptional resident care and supporting the caregiving team. Key responsibilities include
- leading shift assignments, managing attendance, and coordinating coverage
- providing hands-on Activities of Daily Living (ADL) support when necessary
- coaching caregivers on quality, hospitality, and documentation standards
- reviewing charting to align with Individualized Service Plans (ISP)
- monitoring resident changes and communicating concerns promptly
- supporting onboarding and mentoring new team members
- promoting safety, compliance, and smooth shift transitions
High School Diploma/GED (18+), CPR, First Aid, and Medication Administration certifications. Strong communication, delegation, and decision-making skills are essential. Experience in assisted living, memory care, or senior care is preferred.
