** Description of Work
** The Department of Natural and Cultural Resources (DNCR), Division of Human Resources (HR) is seeking an enthusiastic team member to join our team! The HR Administrative Specialist will provide administrative support to the DNCR HR Team. This position will perform a variety of administrative tasks in support of the daily operations of the department, including receiving customers and fulfilling requests, ordering office supplies, creating, compiling and submitting reports, ensuring compliance with various policies and procedures, preparing communications, maintaining and updating records, coordinating meetings and events, and assisting with all-team efforts, etc.

This position will report to the Human Resources Director but will have the opportunity to work with each functional area and division.

* Key Responsibilities:

*** Answer main HR phone line, direct calls, take messages, etc.
* Reconcile timesheets and invoices for Temporary Solutions staff working in HR.
* In partnership with the HR leadership team, compile information for the DNCR internal newsletter.
* Schedule interviews and communicate with candidates for HR positions and assist with the onboarding of HR employees.
* Manage probationary to permanent status changes for the agency, including Fiori actions.
* Maintain organizational charts as needed.
* Perform file maintenance tasks.
* Complete student loan forgiveness forms as requested.
* Complete the annual inventory listing for Finance and surplus items as needed.
* Create and submit travel reimbursements for HR employees.
* Fulfill employment verification requests.
* Initiate all e-Procurement for and maintenance requests for HR.
* Manage dual employment and secondary employment processes for DNCR.
* Maintain HR employee lists, including birthday, emergency contact, etc.
* Handle HR mail distribution, certified mailings, deliveries,…
